Post Apocalyptic RP

So the idea I had in mind as the title of the topic suggests was a post-apocalyptic RP. Though the whole world isn?t Post-Apocalyptic, just America. As I will explain in the quick summary of the plot below, obviously it will be more developed then what I am about to explain if more people are interested, I am slowly adding more stuff to it and making better and better though I will not finalize it until I know there are enough people for it to start considering I do not want it to just go caput within days or a week of it kicking off.

Christmas day of 2021 an Ultranationalist group from Russia sends a Virus nick-named ?The Last Christmas? To America crippling its electrical grid, Economy and Water systems. Sending the country into chaos. On Boxing Day of the same year Russia launch a nuclear attack on America. Having nothing to defend them the American government and that rest of the world can only watch as all major cities on the Eastern and Western Coast of America gets annihilated by the WMD?s In the first day it is reported that a total of 200 million people are killed. No country goes to the aid of America because of the fear that Russia will do the same as what they did to America. Within weeks of the nuclear attack food and water resources are running by now more than 99.99% of the survivors have died from starvation or illnesses meaning approximately Ten thousand people remain. With left over technology groups were able to create radios and try and communicate with others to trade resources one another needed but as time went on and resources got less and less groups started to fight against one another for each other?s resources. After another couple of weeks a transmission was heard from someone who went by the name Lexus who claimed that there was a safe haven in Alaska which offered people the chance to live and rebuild.

So my idea is having basically a group of maybe seven or eight, ten would be great but not sure if I could be able, I would want at least five before I actually decided to plan this, but the main idea is basically the fight for survival of a group of people who are trying to make it to the safe Haven in Alaska. Which on the way would come across Rebel groups, deadly Animals would come across other problems that they would have to find a solution too for example when their own food resources start to run out. Though even after getting to the border to Canada things wouldn?t be simple, Canada has forbidden entry through America in fear that if they do Russia could potentially attack them.
The group would start from a place in California (That I have not decided yet) and would travel up the western coast to Alaska.
Obviously I am not going to plan every little event throughout the RP, some of it will be and some of it will be freestyle but I will also post a topic in the OOC part for where people can post ideas of.

REMEMBER THIS IS JUST A BASIC IDEA IF I GOT ENOUGH PEOPLE I WOULD DEVELOP IT MORE.
